History of the tree

The tree was 619 years old and is the oldest documented white oak in North America

Where is it now?

The trunk is with a custom furniture maker, there are pieces on display, and we primarily have the branches

Removal

The location, size, age, and significance of the historic oak made this an extremely difficult job

1924 Restoration

Significant efforts to prolong the life of the tree were taken almost 100 years ago
